“TWONDERFUL YEARS” Celebrates Summarecon Mall Bandung 2nd Anniversary

Summarecon Mall Bandung marked its second anniversary with “TWONDERFUL YEARS,” a three-day public celebration held on January 16–18, 2026 at the Sawarga Courtyard. The event offered free concerts featuring local bands and national singers Ziva Magnolya, Rony Parulian, and Tiara Andini. Visitors were able to enjoy the shows from the regular area, while access to the VIP Standing Area was available through shopping transactions at selected tenants.

On the first day, January 16, the atmosphere around the mall began to change since late afternoon. Colorful lights were tested on the large outdoor stage, and background music echoed through the courtyard. Families, teenagers, and groups of students slowly filled the area, many bringing drinks and snacks from nearby tenants while waiting for the show. At 5:30 p.m., the local group Soundmate Band opened the program with their own songs that immediately attracted the crowd to move closer to the stage.

The excitement grew when the host announced the main performer, Ziva Magnolya, who appeared at 7 p.m. Wearing a bright outfit, she greeted the audience and invited them to sing together. Her performance included popular hits such as “Cukup,” “Peri Cintaku,” and “Falling in Love Alone,” which made the audience raise their phone flashlights and sing along. Security officers stood along the barricades to control the crowd, while the mall staff helped visitors find entrances and exits.

An event committee member, Dewi Lestari, explained that the concept was prepared for months. “We wanted this anniversary to be more than just a concert. We tried to create a meeting space where families, young people, and the creative community could enjoy the same moment,” she said near the backstage area. She added that involving local bands was an important mission. “Each day one Bandung band performs before the guest star. It is our way to support local talents and give them a professional stage experience,” she said.

From the audience side, the event left a strong impression. Muhammad Rizky Fahreza, a student from Bandung, said he arrived at 4 p.m. to get a good spot. “The queue for the wristband was long, but it moved fast. When Ziva came out, everyone screamed. I felt like watching a big festival, not just a mall event,” he said. He also praised the sound system and the giant screen that helped people at the back still see the stage clearly.

Another visitor, Carita, came with her parents and younger brother. “We finished maghrib prayer and came straight here. The staff were friendly and told us which gate was less crowded. My family enjoyed the songs even though we were not in the VIP area,” she said. According to her, the mix of music, food, and open-air setting made the night feel like a holiday.

Observations during the first night showed how busy the mall became. Coffee shops and food stalls around Downtown Walk were full, and some tenants offered special discounts connected to the VIP program. The wristband booth never stopped serving visitors exchanging their receipts. Cleaning crews and medical teams were also visible, showing the organizer’s effort to keep the area safe and comfortable.

As the concert ended at around 9 p.m., many visitors stayed to take photos with the stage background and anniversary decorations. The positive response on the opening day indicated that TWONDERFUL YEARS successfully delivered entertainment while strengthening the image of Summarecon Mall Bandung as a lively public space and cultural destination in the city.
