About HIMARIS
Established in 2006 by the first cohort of English Department students, HIMARIS is the official student organisation of the English Department at Politeknik Negeri Bandung — providing a platform to channel aspirations and organise activities that enhance both academic and non-academic skills.
HIMARIS serves as the English Department's student organisation, providing a platform to channel aspirations and organise activities that enhance both academic and non-academic skills for all English Department students. Activities conducted by HIMARIS benefit students in various ways — improving communication skills, gaining organisational experience, enhancing soft skills, and fostering other positive attributes.
HIMARIS also engages in community service projects. One notable initiative involves teaching English to elementary school children in the local area. Additionally, they regularly organise community events, such as buka bersama (breaking fast together) with orphans at nearby orphanages during the month of Ramadan.
To strengthen connections with other student organisations on campus, HIMARIS actively participates in events such as Pekan Olah Mahasiswa (POM) and LITANIA (Business Administration Futsal League), as well as other engaging campus events.
Vision
To become a dynamic, inclusive, and impactful student organisation that empowers every English Department student to achieve their fullest academic, professional, and personal potential.
